The interview was held over zoom. I spoke with my potential manager for 30 minutes. They explained the job duties and the future vision for the role. The questions were easy to answer and relevant.

HR set up the interview process. It started with a phone interview and then a site visit. The team was very nice and made me feel welcomed. I met with several Assistant Practice Providers (APPs) and Medical Doctors (MDs). I also got to tour the office.

We met at the office, they were very accommodating. They told me all about their company and what merging with the hospital would be like. They also gave me details on the benefits package, future pay dates, and holidays. They also set up a date for onboarding.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I put in my application on the web and then somebody from the talent acquisition team reached out to me. The whole interview thing took about 3 and a half months from start to finish. It had 5 interviews over video and then two days where I had to go in person. The in-person part included panel interviews, chats with consultants, and meetings with the CEO and other top execs. I really liked all the people I met along the way. The video calls were pretty chill, mostly just talking about leading teams, my marketing skills, and my communication background. The days I was on site were pretty intense with big panel interviews where they asked behavioral questions and some others too. One panel had 7 people, another had 6, and a third had 9. These panels were way too big, and there wasn't enough time between them to even think. They were scheduled for their convenience, not to see what a candidate could really do. I think 4 people is the max for a panel. After this 3.5 month process, which even included a dinner with the senior leadership team, I got an email saying they wish me luck in my job search and are talking to other people. After investing that much time and traveling across the country for the on-site interviews, I really thought a phone call with feedback would have been the right move and was what I expected. Just wanted to share this so others know what the executive interview process is like here.
