First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at care.coach.
Machine Learning Engineer
This was a total waste of my time. Right away, they said the job requires working overtime and weekends, even though the pay is below average and it's an in-person role. The process was really long with unnecessary steps. It started with a 30-minute questionnaire with about 100 psychological questions. Then I had to choose between a timed coding challenge or a take-home assignment; I picked the timed test. After that, I had two technical rounds that seemed disorganized with repeated questions from both interviewers. One interviewer also asked me to do the take-home challenge. Since I'd already invested so much time, I did the take-home test, which took me several days, and sent it back. In the meantime, I guess they hired someone else because they ghosted me without even a rejection email.
- Could you explain what a decision tree is?
Technical Recruiter
Victor from the company reached out to me on LinkedIn after I applied. I responded to his initial questions and was then asked to schedule a technical assignment with someone else. The assignment was straightforward, and after completing it, I was told I passed and needed to schedule another call with Victor. The interview with Victor began okay, but he then stated I didn't have the required experience. Despite recruiting in some capacity since 2015 and being the sole recruiter for two years, my lack of a formal 'Recruiter' title meant my experience wasn't valued. While I understand not meeting qualifications, I wish I hadn't wasted time on the assignment and initial call if my resume already disqualified me. Victor also mentioned he had more interviews to conduct and would follow up afterward, not specifically if there was a good fit. Although I suspected the interview didn't go well, Victor didn't provide a definitive answer as promised. This experience makes me question the company's leadership and integrity.
- Would you be comfortable coming into the office during the pandemic since this is an essential service?
Health Advocate
The process was kinda stressful. During the screening, I had to do a set of tests for all my skills. When I passed and went to the face to face interview with the project manager, it went super smooth. The project manager was really nice and answered everything I asked. The onboarding was simple too, the staff explained it all so I felt comfy.
- What makes you want to join Care Coach?
- In five years, what are your career aspirations?
Sales Agent
They scheduled me for an interview and then cancelled it an hour beforehand, claiming they changed the rules and now require an assessment. They failed to notify me in advance or at the initial stage, which is unprofessional and shows a lack of consideration for potential hires. I wouldn't want to work for a company that treats candidates this way.
