CRC
Applied online and then they got in touch a few weeks later for a phone screening. Then I had a virtual interview and an onsite at the clinic. The managers and teammates were super nice. I was disappointed by the low salary offer, way less than I make now and less than my minimum. I had to decline the job, even though it was my top choice. I was surprised since I have over 5 years of experience, but I got a better offer somewhere else.

Clinical Vendor Specialist
I applied for the Clinical Vendor Specialist position on February 19th, 2025, and Care Access contacted me quickly for a phone screen on February 25th, 2025. The phone screen covered my resume, qualifications, and experience. They asked about my salary expectations, and I learned the range was 68k-78k, to which I mentioned 70k as my minimum. My first interview was with a Senior Manager on March 11th. They were open about the job duties and company expectations, making it a good conversation. I asked about the 2023 layoffs, and the manager addressed my concerns. They emphasized that the team is busy, people wear multiple hats, and overtime is expected, suggesting the team might be understaffed. I was up for the challenge if compensated fairly. The second and final interview was with the Vice President on March 19th. It was a mix of conversation and skill-based questions about past scenarios and how they could have been handled better. The VP also highlighted how busy the team gets. Care Access offered me the job on March 25th with a salary of 70k. I questioned the low offer given my background and the role's demands, and they referenced my stated minimum. After asking what it would take to reach the higher end of the range, I was told there was no negative feedback on my qualifications. I counter-offered at 75k. The next day, they came back with 72k with no further explanation. I decided to decline the offer due to red flags like past layoffs, the demanding workload, lack of clear feedback, and perceived disrespect for my time and value.
- Could you describe a time when you could have handled a situation differently, and what specific changes you would make?
- What are your salary expectations for this role?
- Can you walk me through your resume, qualifications, and experience?
Account Executive
I saw a job opening and applied because the company seemed interesting. A recruiter named Lana reached out via email to schedule a phone screen. My conversation with Lana was great; she was super enthusiastic about Care Access and her own job. She really seems to love the company and enjoys finding good, positive people to hire. The screen went well, and I got moved to a more formal interview which also went well. This company seems really great, with employees who support each other and the company's growth. You'll definitely get a sense of the passion Lana and others have for their employer if you talk to her.

Prescreen Enrollment Manager
A recruiter called me and we had a nice chat, and I was excited about the company. She then passed my resume to the director and another manager. The interview with her was in her bedroom, and she mentioned she was tired. Midway through, I was told the position I applied for was already filled, which was a shock. She then asked if I wanted to interview for another position. I had to ask what those positions involved. It was a mess from there. She didn't seem to care about my qualifications or how I could benefit the company. The next day at 9:30 AM, I got a call saying I didn't have enough qualifications for the positions. I have over 6 years of recruiting, enrollment, and engagement experience. They were surprised I was interviewing for a filled job, but nobody had informed me.
- Can you explain why you've held various jobs over the last 25 years?
- We are looking for someone who will commit to staying with the company long-term.
