Behavioral Technical Presentation

Started with a recruiter round, then had 4 more rounds with a TPM, 2 PMs, and the Scrum master. The interviews were mostly standard PM behavioral questions, but also included some API PM specific questions. I had a pretty bad experience waiting 3 weeks for a decision even though I was told the feedback was very positive. Apparently, one of the main people involved in the decision was on vacation, so it took ages to get an answer, which was pretty awful.

The interview process felt like they were trying to seem important but weren't. They didn't respect candidates' time. It had 6 stages: first, a 30-minute round with HR. Second, a 1 hour 50 minute HackerRank test, which I passed. Third, a 30-minute interview with a hiring manager. Fourth, an interview with QAs, where they were late. Fifth, a 30-minute interview with a technical couch, which felt useless. Sixth, a 30-minute interview with a developer, which was the best part. The whole thing took 4 hours 20 minutes, and I had to use paid time off. Even though they liked me, I didn't get an offer. The feedback was that they needed someone with more mentoring/coaching experience and experience in ambiguous situations, which they should have specified in the job description. Good companies compensate candidates for wasting their time. I gained nothing but nerves.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had seven interviews with eight people over three weeks, including two SVPs and someone from their client org. Was told throughout the process that senior management liked my experience and contacts, and that there were many other roles opening up that I'd be a good fit for. After the last interview, I heard it was between me and one other candidate and they'd decide in a few days. Reached out a week later through multiple channels (Recruiter, HR, recruiting bot) but no one responded, so I was ghosted.

I applied for the role on Indeed and then a temp agency reached out. After a phone screening with them, I had a brief meeting, and then I was scheduled to meet with Cardinal. The people I met were nice and professional. It was a role focused on using a new software program, so some questions were unique to that. I met with them in a small conference room, one or two at a time. There was a slight delay after I accepted the job because of the background check.
