First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cardinal Stritch University.
Admissions Counselor
The interview process was really great. I enjoyed speaking with everyone involved. They were very responsive and kept me updated throughout the entire process. It felt like they truly cared about all the candidates and dedicated a significant amount of time to each one!
- What motivates you to seek this particular role?
Professor
It was a standard interview, not much to report. They asked many questions, and the interviewer was patient and helpful. The whole thing took only 30 minutes. They also asked for some personal details.
- What are your usual goals?
- What techniques do you employ?
- Can you share some biographical information?
Assistant Professor
The interview process was quite disorganized with poor communication, for instance, my recommendation letters got lost a couple of times and interviewers weren't at the right spots at the scheduled times. However, everyone I met was very friendly.
- Regarding your potential role here, could you elaborate on how your teaching and other contributions would align with the university's Franciscan values?
Hospitality Specialist
I was first reached out to by the Director of the Department for a phone interview. The next day, they called me to come in for a panel interview with the Admissions Department. Later that same day, I got another call saying they were setting up a second panel interview right after the first one, this time with the Hospitality Hiring Department. Both of these panel interviews involved sitting with four other people, and they asked general questions about my resume and previous work experiences. The whole environment felt pretty relaxed, and they even gave me a tour of the school in between the interviews.
- Could you share an instance where you exceeded expectations in assisting a student?
- What would be the differences in promoting Cardinal Stritch, a private institution, compared to a public school you previously worked for?
