First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cardinal Intellectual Property.
Project Manager
I had the first screening and then moved on to the second interview with the VP of Engineering. It was an average interview where he asked me about a recent project I managed and followed up with additional questions.
- Can you describe a recent project you managed?
- Could you elaborate on the project you managed?
Software Engineer
The interview started with a brief 8-minute phone interview where I was told I'd advance to the next stage. The second round was a 1.5-hour coding test. However, after only 20 minutes, they ended the test, citing a premature termination despite no apparent issues with my code and insufficient time to complete it. They didn't ask about my background. I had to follow up after two days for an update and was informed I wasn't selected, which felt unprofessional given the handling of the process.
- Could you explain what Redux is?
- Can you describe the difference between class and functional components?
- Please write the code to fetch data via a Rest API call and then implement sorting functionality for the resulting table.
Senior Client Operations Associate
I applied on Indeed and my application was viewed. I got a call from HR, but they were really difficult and wouldn't answer any questions about the company or the role. After a month of no response, the same HR person called again saying they wanted to talk to me, and I had to remind them we'd already spoken. Then the hiring manager called and asked about my resume. They offered me $12.50 for a position requiring a bachelor's degree and a year of experience. It felt like a total waste of time and unprofessional.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with our company?
- Can you provide an overview of your resume?
Client Operations Associate
the interview took a little over an hour. you first meet the administrative assistant who will give you a quick rundown of the benefits. then you see the manager, they will ask standard interview questions like 'where did you study' and 'why do you want to work for the company.' after that, you have a quick chat with the supervisor of the department. finally, the HR rep closes out the interview. it was an interesting process, not too difficult, with pretty standard questions that go by fast if you're patient.
