I talked with a VP and then an Engineer for some initial interviews, followed by a 5-hour onsite loop. I nailed the technical parts but was told I wasn't a team fit. Honestly, that should've been figured out in the first two calls, not after a whole 5-hour onsite. They also forgot to schedule a lunch break until I asked. Super unprofessional, save your time. Given the bad reviews, not being a 'culture fit' might actually be a good thing.

I had interviews with the hiring manager, the management team, and then some of the people on the current team. Everyone I spoke with was really friendly. However, across all three of those interviews, we didn't really get into the specifics of technical skills. It seemed like they might have been looking for something in particular, but they didn't make it clear what that was, which made it tough to explain or show if I had that specific skill.

After I was told there was an opening, I was given a time and place to go for the interview. I met the Head Chef and Lead Manager in the Management office. We talked a little about my skills, what dish washing involves, and what to expect, plus the hours. They also tried to get a sense of my personality, and I got to know the work environment and how things run. It was pretty laid back.

The interview process had a clean and friendly environment in a small office. It was a two-part, two-day testing strategy. I was initially considered for a card sorter role, but my card knowledge was much higher than expected. I had a separate Q&A session and a matching test with a spreadsheet. Then, I took a 15-minute exam on a laptop, and they told me my score and ratios. A high score moved me to a different candidate pool, and I was asked to come back the next day for an interview for a completely different position.
