I applied online through here, glassdoor, and got invited to interview around 5 days later? I missed the window to book an interview slot, so had to call up and ask - I had a problem calling the specific store I was applying to work at, so I called another store. I called twice to arrange an interview due to technical problems, and the people on the phone were always kind and a pleasure to speak to! I interviewed and it was a really nice experience, I would recommend!

I applied online and got an interview a few weeks later. When I got there, I had to wait on the shop floor for the manager, which was awkward. We went upstairs to a messy room. The interviewer was going to be the manager of a new store opening soon. She asked if I preferred the new store or the current one. I said I didn't have a preference, but she insisted, so I chose the current store, though the new one had more positions. Then she asked basic experience questions from a list. Some were hard because I don't have much retail experience. Finally, she asked about availability. The questions were easy if you had experience. The interviewer was friendly but didn't seem very interested. I waited 20 days to hear back and got an automated email with no feedback.

This was for a temporary Christmas job. The whole thing from applying to getting an offer took about 2-3 weeks. I'd worked for Card Factory before, so that probably helped. A few days after I applied online (super easy application), the manager called me in for an interview. The store seemed pretty COVID-safe with floor markers and staff wearing masks, and the manager kept her distance, which was good. They asked some easy questions like why I wanted to work there, my availability, and how I'd handled a tough situation before. The manager was really nice and easy to chat with, so I felt comfortable. But, since it was right after the second lockdown was announced, she was upfront that she might not be able to hire anyone, but she'd let me know. A few days later, she called to say she wanted to offer me the job, but was still waiting on final confirmation. Then, a few days after that, she called again to confirm the offer and emailed my contract. I had to turn it down because I'd already accepted another job. Overall, it was a good experience, and I really liked how often and honestly she communicated with me.
