First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Caravan Health.
Content Designer
It was a video interview, with a one-on-one and a panel interview. Super organized and the questions were thoughtful and professional. They were really welcoming from the beginning and always responded quickly. The team was great, supportive and friendly, and they answered questions quickly during and after the interviews.
- Can you share an example of a time you collaborated with stakeholders from different departments?
Programmer
It was a 3-part process, pretty standard intensity. First, an interview, then a call back, and a follow-up interview. After that, there was on-line onboarding. They really care about health background and if you know healthcare programs. Big emphasis on being quick to respond to emails, following through on tasks, and documentation. The company's ambitious, so show you're keen and can manage your own work. Team experience is also essential, so be ready to talk about team scenarios, especially managing expectations, handling projects, and making sure deliverables get done.
- Can you tell me about your SQL skills?
- How would you approach solving this programming problem?
Account Manager
HR screening happened for a different role, and then I had a phone screen with a recruiter, which was thorough and professional. A week later, I interviewed with a Senior Account Manager and another Account Manager. The Senior Account Manager was unprepared and unprofessional, even arguing with me about my own experience. It was offensive since my resume was right there. This made me question the company culture. I hope Caravan reviews how their hiring managers interact with candidates, especially since we could be future clients. Caravan is pretty new, and I hope they grow. The last part of my phone interview was a disaster.
- I don't see your Management experience on your resume.
- You stated 6 years of experience, but I only count 2.
Clinical Leader
It started out as a standard interview process: A phone interview with the recruiter, then hiring manager, then an interview with the team where I presented a powerpoint presentation. Communication for the first month seem to fine. I was told after the third interview, someone would be in touch to let me know their decision. Then that was it, after almost 3 months, no call, no email, no letter. There was a lot of time and effort spent during this interview process and I was very disappointed not to receive even a generic courtesy email stating I was not selected. After 3 interviews, one would expect the common courtesy of at least the automated auto reject email. It sounded like a wonderful opportunity with a great company, they should consider hiring a private HR contractor in order to keep the process professional and not turn off so many candidates. Because ultimately, this reflects on the professionalism of the company itself.
- Can you describe a situation and explain what actions you took?
