I found the Proposal Coordinator job on Carahsoft's site and applied. A recruiter contacted me to set up an interview, and things went south from there. They sent me a paper application to complete and email back, then I had a recorded second Zoom interview with the recruiter and the hiring manager. After that, I was ghosted and never heard back, despite reaching out.

I had two rounds of interviews and met six people. The first round gave me an overview of the company and the position, mostly trying to sell me on the job. There were questions, but they weren't too hard. The second round had more of the typical open-ended interview questions. In each interview, I got a simple task that was a watered-down version of the actual job duties. A recruiter guided me through the whole thing, telling me to call her at a specific time (which was weird) and I usually ended up leaving a voicemail because she wouldn't pick up.

I applied for this role through my school's job board and got three voicemails in one day from two HR reps. I called one back and had a 20-minute chat that I thought was an initial screening, but she then scheduled me for a phone interview the next day. That second call was the actual screening where she asked the same questions. After that, I was asked to set up a formal phone interview, and in between the screening and the formal interview, I had to fill out a detailed application asking about other jobs I'd applied to and my status with them. The formal phone interview involved reviewing my application and asking company questions. Things got strange when I was told to call back the following Monday to schedule in-person interviews because the interviewer didn't know the schedules of the people I'd meet. When I called back, she still didn't have the schedule and said she'd get back to me, which was the last straw. I got an offer from another company soon after and didn't follow up. I felt the process was okay until I asked about negative reviews online.
