Manager
I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter in fall 2021 and had an initial call. After that, they said they wanted to schedule more calls but then I didn't hear back for about a month. Eventually, they asked for my availability the following week. They then scheduled 5.5 hours of interviews and a case study, mostly on one day. I'm working full-time and told them I couldn't do all that on one day. They pushed back a lot and implied it was my fault. They also required a time-consuming case study involving a presentation, a mock call with team members, and a follow-up email. Scheduling this was also a mess, with the wrong meeting link sent last minute. After all this pressure and my effort to make it work, I heard nothing for over a month. Finally, I was told I didn't get the job and they were still looking. I wouldn't interview with them again because they didn't respect my time, seemed disorganized, and unclear about what they wanted.

Director
So CAQH has like a lot of steps in their interview process. It starts with HR and then the hiring manager doing a phone screen. After that, you go onsite and meet with like 5 or more people. Sometimes, there's even a final chat with the president. The onsite part has a case study that they give you before, and you have to present your solution to a team of 2-3 people from different departments.
- The case study is the most important part. It's usually a big issue the company is facing, designed to see if you can research it, define the problem, show your knowledge by proposing a solution and other options, and explain your thoughts clearly.
Project Manager
Applied online and then had a phone screening about two weeks later. About three weeks after that, I had an in-person interview. When I got there, I spent at least 3 hours talking with HR, the director, some product managers, and some senior program managers. Finally, I had to do a case study presentation where I had to facilitate a meeting about the objectives and explain how I'd get a sample project done on time and on budget. The whole process was pretty good, but honestly, it felt like overkill. Three hours or more is a really long time! They could have probably put more people in one session to make it quicker for everyone.

Customer Care Specialist
I applied online and did an initial screening call with a recruiter. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager, followed by two more hour-long interviews with senior leaders. This led to a finalist interview. After that, they said things looked good. They asked me to confirm my salary expectations, which were in the range they mentioned, and give references. But then weeks went by with no news. After I followed up a few times, they told me the position was closed and wouldn't be filled right away, but might open up later. Months later, I checked again and found out CAQH wasn't using the recruiting firm anymore and had moved hiring in-house. I got an HR contact who confirmed there were no plans to reopen the role. The whole thing took months and had five interview rounds, and then the role just closed without a clear next step. It was super frustrating not having transparency or follow-through, and it felt like they didn't care about the time I put in. Based on this, I wouldn't suggest CAQH's hiring process.
