So I reapplied for the same position again after about a month, and the same HR person contacted me saying they were willing to interview me, and everything was set. But, at the exact time of the interview, the meeting was cancelled and the HR just emailed me that it was "simply an internal oversight on our end." Is it possible that I can't reapply again for this position with the company? Also, they should have emailed me earlier to cancel the interview, or they need to be more careful when they send out interview invitations...

For a Research Associate at expert network firms, expect a quick, multi-stage interview process that checks communication, resilience, and business sense. It usually kicks off with a recruiter phone call, then a video chat with a hiring manager for behavioral questions. The main event is a practical test or "mock call" to see if you can quickly understand client needs and effectively screen experts. Lastly, there's a culture fit interview with senior leaders. This last part is more about seeing if you fit the company's energetic, target-driven vibe, what your career goals are, and if you'll mesh with the team.

Behavioral Case

There were about 3 stages to the interview process, all done online with different people from the company. It started with a screening interview, then a case-study session, and finished with a final interview about goals and motivations with several people from the organization.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process started with a 25-minute casual chat with the hiring manager, focusing on my understanding of the role. Following this, I was invited to a final round, which was a bit unusual because it took place at a rented room off-site rather than their office. It felt like a waste of travel money since the case study could have been done virtually. After the case study, I was rejected the same day. It seemed like they prefer hiring freshers but expect perfection. The case study portion, including sourcing and a mock call, was rushed, with only about 5-7 minutes for the case study itself and less than 5 minutes to prep for the mock call. They did provide feedback during the session, which was good. Overall, the experience was decent but could improve on human interaction.
