We began with a phone screen, and after that, I was invited to meet the head of the department. It was a comprehensive interview where they asked insightful questions derived from my resume, which really helped to make it a fluid discussion.

I applied online and heard back a week later from the Talent Acquisition Manager. We had an initial phone call to discuss my interest and company culture. The next day, I spoke with the direct supervisor about my background, the role, and the company. A few days later, I met the supervisor and another team member in person at their NYC office. We chatted casually about the job's expectations, the projects I'd handle, my future teammates, and more about the company culture. A couple days after that, I was asked to schedule three more calls with two team members who were not based in NYC, and one who I hadn't met during my office visit. These were all pleasant conversations. Following that, the supervisor sent over a quick design task via email, which I completed. About 2-3 days later, I received and accepted a job offer. The whole thing took about a week. I also had to complete a McQuaig personality assessment.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • My interview was more of a back and forth conversation relating to the position I applied to, as opposed to them just asking me a bunch of common interview questions off a list.

A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and after a 30-minute chat, I moved to the next stage. The HR person gave me a specific time, then said they needed to confirm. 45 minutes before the scheduled call, I was told there was no confirmation and would get a new time. The call did happen, and I passed. A week later, I had a round with 6 people scheduled back-to-back. One call was moved to the next day, and another person didn't call at all. I told HR about the missed call, and they said "hmm that's interesting" but didn't reschedule. The last call I had the next day, the person cut me off after 10 minutes for an emergency. I told HR again, and nothing was rescheduled. After not speaking with 2 out of 6 people, I was told I wouldn't be offered the position. It feels unfair and shows the kind of company this is.

It started with a phone interview, and if they liked my profile, I was invited for in-person interviews. The interview difficulty was average and the whole process felt a bit long. The person on the phone was really nice and even gave me some advice after the interview. It was a good experience, though I wish I'd prepared a bit more.
