After applying, I had a quick 30-minute to 1-hour phone call. Then, there was a short, 30-minute technical assessment that wasn't too hard. Next, I had an hour-and-a-half phone interview with an implementation lead. We talked a lot about the specifics of CAPSHER, how things work there, and the team structure. It was a bit different from my usual work style since I prefer a ROWE environment, which they don't have, so we spent time making sure I understood the expectations. This part was really positive; the people were great and answered most of my questions. I was nervous but they made me feel comfortable. Initially, I got an email saying I wasn't getting an offer, and the feedback was a bit confusing, but we eventually got clarity. However, even after that initial rejection, CAPSHER contacted my references and decided to reconsider. I was then invited for an on-site interview, which included a brief discussion, another technical question focusing on process, a review of my past experience, an office tour, and lunch. The on-site, including lunch, took about 2.5 hours in total. Despite the initial rejection and the feedback confusion (mostly about personality and work style), which caused some stress, the overall experience ended up being positive because they followed through. It would have been better to get the reference feedback before the rejection, though.

The hiring process starts with an online assessment (OA) that has 2-3 basic coding questions in C#. Then there are three interview rounds. The first one is with HR, basically introducing yourself and your background, then some behavior questions, and then talking about salary and the company culture. The second round is with an implementation lead, focusing on your technical background, what you've done, and how to solve problems. The third round is an on-site interview with the head of implementation and an implementation lead. It begins with reviewing your technical background, then solving two technical questions on a whiteboard. They want you to explain your thought process and ask for help if you need it. After that, you're invited to lunch with the implementation lead and two team members. During lunch, you'll chat about the software engineer role, daily tasks, and Capsher’s culture, which is all about a comfy environment and work-life balance. They're looking for someone easy to talk to and collaborative. After the interviews, there's likely a background check and then an offer.

I applied online. About a month later, a recruiter got in touch to set up a phone interview. This first call was mainly behavioral questions, but it did include one programming question. After that, I went in for an onsite interview. There, they asked me more detailed questions about my past projects and also had a technical interview involving a whiteboard.
