Payroll Analyst
A recruiter reached out via LinkedIn for the role. I had an initial chat with the recruiter, and then scheduled an interview with their manager a couple of weeks later. That interview went fine, and they indicated interviews would wrap up in two weeks. I followed up with the recruiter two weeks later but got no response. I then contacted the interviewer directly, who said it would be another couple of weeks before a decision was made. It's now been eight weeks with no further communication.
- Can you describe your experience and explain how it aligns with the requirements of this role?
Relocation Consultant
The interview process is informal and not something I have ever experienced. The communication between myself and the person that sent the information was poor. I had to follow up with one of his coworkers to get a response. There is no follow up. You do not receive the interview questions prior to recording yourself so that you can some what prepare. You have 60 seconds to answer 3 out of 6 questions with no remakes. You can not exit and come back. The whole process and the lack of response/follow up did not resonate with me well. This is a major red flag that does not look good for the company. It makes me wonder how many great candidates they missed out on because of this process.
- Can you share any relevant experience you have in relocation?
Intern
The interview was pretty chill and conversational. Just make sure you're solid on your resume and can dive deep into your past work. If you haven't worked before, use your coursework to show why you'd be awesome for the job.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you describe your prior internship experience?
- What key takeaways did you gain from your previous internship?
Operations Team Lead
I was sent a PI behavioral assessment and had to do a one-way interview with 8 questions. You get 60 seconds to prep once the question appears and 2 minutes to respond. You can't re-record or go back. It feels impersonal and honestly, behavioral assessments aren't really science. I mean, I could take the same test multiple times and get different results because we're human, not robots. Candidates want to find the right fit too and learn about the role and company. I didn't get to do that, I didn't even speak to anyone. Total waste of my time.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Could you provide some examples?
- Why do you think you're the right candidate for this role?
