Assistant Manager Trainee
I applied on Indeed on Friday and they wanted to interview me on Monday. The position on Indeed caught my attention, but once I learned about what I would actually be doing during the interview... I realized that it was not going to be a fun job. They told me that I would be selling Verizon, AT&T products at a Sam's Club or Walmart and you will set up a booth to do that. I think if that they posted this information on Indeed that less people would have applied. I saw about three or four people being interviewed at once. There is a base salary, but my guess is that it isn't that much. The interviewer was nice, but there is almost an element of fakeness. I am glad that I was experienced enough to realize that if I did another interview it would have been a waste of my time. One thing that I thought was somewhat unprofessional was that a new hire was filling out new-hire paperwork (taxes) in the lobby. This process should be done in a separate room.

Brand Manager
I am currently going through the interview process with this company. I just had my first interview so I will have to keep you guys posted. So far everything has seemed to go great except the fact that I am so nervous. The administrator and manager that I met with seemed down to earth and made it easier for me to relax. I think that is their plan because they seem like they actually want to get to know their candidates before making any hiring decision. From what I have found out so far, this company is focused on growth and expanding. The reason that I was told they are hiring is because the company is not big enough to take on all the brand names they have available. Capitol City is hiring to bring on those accounts they cant currently due to lack of size.

Marketing Promotions and Events Manager
So, like, every job posting at this company says you gotta start as a sales rep, working for a temp agency selling stuff for Direct TV at places like Sam's Club or Best Buy. I went to the first interview, and they told me I was interviewing to manage all the sales reps in the area. Then, for the second interview, they hit me with 'nah, you start as a sales rep and work your way up to manager.' I was pretty ticked because the first guy, the head of the division, totally misled me. Felt like a waste of time for two interviews. They wanted a third, but I passed. The second interviewer also mentioned that pretty much every job, except for a few HR roles, means you start as a sales rep. You get a base pay plus commission, and the base pay changes. This might be cool for some people, but if you're not into sales, this is not it. Super unprofessional. Also, be ready to drive to their office and then get sent somewhere else for your second interview.

- Can you see yourself succeeding in this role?
- Are you familiar with our company's business?
Sales Associate
I went in and saw four other people waiting for interviews. This didn't seem great, but I stayed hopeful. I had applied for three roles: client ambassadors, direct sales, and another that wasn't sales-related. I was really hoping it wouldn't be sales after seeing reviews, and you guys were right, it feels like a scam. I told them I wasn't keen on the pushy, harassing type of sales and asked if they had any admin roles. The hiring manager seemed interested and acted like they'd look for something else. I really don't want to be that person at places like Best Buy, Sam's Club, or Costco pushing things on annoyed customers. We chatted about family, and it was pretty chill. But ultimately, all they want is for you to sell, sell, sell and be that annoying person I encounter at Sam's Club (no offense).
