First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Capitol Broadcasting Company.
Project Manager
It was a video call, and it felt really friendly. I got a good sense of the company, and the person I spoke with was open and answered everything I asked. If I had moved forward, there would have been two more chats, with at least one of them being in person. I really liked our talk and appreciated their answers!
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Account Executive
It was pretty simple, I was introduced by someone we both know. Had two phone calls and then an in-person meeting before getting the job offer. I got a good rundown of the benefits and spoke with references who liked the company. The in-person interview was with my future boss, their boss, and a few of the people who do on-air work.
- Are you comfortable making cold calls to businesses?
Editor
The process involves speaking with a director and an operations manager. They'll ask about your motivation for joining, your past experience, and your willingness to take on multiple roles since training is provided for other positions.
- What motivates you to apply for this role?
- Could you describe your relevant experience and accomplishments?
- Would you be open to learning and performing duties in other roles, given our training opportunities?
Software Engineer
Applied via their website. First up was a phone call, just the usual Qs and general salary talk. That was good because it would have saved us both tons of time if we were too far apart. Next, I had an in-person interview where they asked the typical interview questions and we really dug deep. I also met with some of the senior management and the team lead; they were all really nice and friendly.
- What were your motivations for leaving your previous job?
