It was a thorough, multi-part process with four interviews in total, each with different people from various departments. They were flexible with scheduling interviews and deadlines. It was easy to communicate with the teams and the overall atmosphere was comfortable.

I applied online and saw that they were hiring for openings in Spokane on LinkedIn and Glassdoor. About a week later, a recruiter from Monterey, CA called and we had an initial chat. A few days later, she called back to set up a call with the hiring manager. I then had a one-hour call with the hiring manager and two developers, discussing my experience. This wasn't a technical skills interview. The hiring manager mentioned she'd be on vacation for two weeks and would follow up after. Once she returned, they invited me onsite to meet the team and do some whiteboard questions. The interview was scheduled from 9 AM to 3 PM, but it ended at noon because the manager had unexpected meetings. Two days later, the recruiter emailed saying they weren't moving forward, despite positive feedback from the team. They didn't give a specific reason. They've been using the same job description for developer roles in Spokane since they opened, but they're really looking for someone with front-end experience, XML, and specifically XSLT.

So, I applied for a claims adjuster role through Career Builder. First, I had a quick phone call. After that, I went in, filled out paperwork, and met a manager for a minute. They sent me a short personality test. Then I was called back for a more official interview with three managers. They asked what I knew about the company and went over my background. A big part of it was behavioral questions, asking for specific examples of past experiences. They clarified that I needed to stick to the specific examples. They also talked about the benefits and job details. I got an email the next day with a longer skills test. A few weeks after that, they offered me the job.

Had a phone interview where I was grilled about my resume and experience. It felt pretty hostile. Then there was a web-based qualification process, followed by a personality test. They said this test is used later to decide if you'll be a regular employee or could become a supervisor, though there aren't any supervisor jobs open right now.
