First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Capital Health.
Physical Therapist
The interview process was fair and not excessively long, comparable to other job applications I've gone through. The HR team was friendly, and I proceeded directly to meet with the managers. I received a job offer after the manager interview.
- Can you share an instance of dealing with a challenging patient and how you handled it?
Nurse Practitioner
The job has been open for about 6 months. I got a call about a month after applying, and they set up an interview pretty fast. The interview itself felt hostile, kind of condescending and snarky. They were also really vague and cagey when I asked about the day-to-day responsibilities.
- When can I expect to have my own patient panel, as we're currently handling the workload of another provider?
Therapist
The interview seemed quite structured. They made it clear that this job involves a lot of supervision and that my work would need to adhere strictly to the therapy director's standards. It seemed like there wouldn't be much room for independent decision-making.
- What are your strategies for managing stress?
Registered Nurse
The new grad residency has a speed-dating-like interview process. You'll rotate through about 10 stations, each with educators and managers. You and other applicants will move around, and interviewers will ask about your experience, goals, and different scenarios.
- In five years, where do you envision yourself?
- What would someone find if they looked at your social media today?
- Tell me about your most memorable experience during nursing school.
