First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Capital Automotive.
Intern
The interview day was pretty packed. It had five 30-minute one-on-one meetings. I spoke with each of the four Portfolio Managers, and then also with the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. They really wanted to see how I'd fit into a team, and asked about my past experiences and involvements. Since Excel is a big part of this job, they definitely asked about my proficiency with it.
- Could you tell me more about the XYZ experience listed on your resume?
- In a team setting, what part do you usually take?
- How would you rate your Excel skills on a scale of 1 to 10?
Intern
It was a really easy interview process, and the people I met were great and easy to talk to. It wasn't technical at all. I talked to a panel of supervisors who just wanted to get to know me. They have high expectations for their interns and have a lot of projects that seem pretty simple and easy to do.
- Can you tell me what's on a balance sheet?
Intern
I sent in my resume and transcript, and then had a first round interview. The interviewers, who were two first year associates, split their time between asking me questions and giving me information about the role. I haven't heard back in two months.
- Tell me what you are passionate about.
- What makes you interested in real estate?
