Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Capgemini Invent.
Business Analyst
I had a meeting with the Lady from London, she asked several questions including my experience and salary expectation. Also, we had general discussions including weather etc. Overall, good, but i did not hear anything, just disappeared.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What are your salary expectations?
Business Analyst
Started with online tests, like numerical reasoning stuff. Then a 1:1 phone interview asking competency questions and about my interest in the company. The final stage was a 6-hour assessment centre. This included a presentation on a pre-prepared case, group work solving a case, and another interview with more competency questions, company knowledge questions, why I'm applying, and some quick business questions. The whole experience was negative due to long delays (3 months from applying to assessment centre) but then only a week's notice for the assessment date. Communication was disorganized and the travel reimbursement was really small (£75 max), no matter the distance. It made the company seem uninterested in their hiring and might have put off good candidates.
- Can you tell me about a time you worked in a team?
- Tell me about a project you were part of, and what happened when things didn't go as planned?
- Share an experience where you managed people and dealt with any conflicts that arose.
Business Analyst
after getting through the aptitude tests and telephone interview, I was invited to an assessment day. The assessment day consists of two tasks - firstly, a group exercise in which you discuss newspaper articles that are relevant to the company and secondly, a one-on-one interview in which you discuss a case study, answer some 'on the spot' technical questions and finish with some competency-based questions. We also received a presentation from a current Capgemini employee.
- In what ways has your degree equipped you for this position?
