Search Specialist
The interview process had multiple rounds. It started with a recruiter phone call screening. Next, there was a virtual meeting with the hiring manager. The final round was an in-person meeting with the department lead or Director. Standard questions relevant to the role and experience were asked at every stage. The interviewers were nice and paid attention. I got to the last in-person round at the Playa Vista location, but they didn't end up picking me. I had to ask the recruiter for an update after about a week and a half of silence following the last round.

Plumber Apprentice
it was ok, not too hard not too easy. the usual stuff about stuff. questions about previous experience, expectations and skills I bring to the role. it quickly became apparent that I was overqualified for the role since I have a decade of experience.
- How are you today?
- Was it difficult to find the office?
- Tell me about your past work history.
SEM Analyst
Overall great process! Submitted my resume through an employee referral and was contacted the day after by HR with a phone interview. After that screening interview was complete, an in-person interview was scheduled for that Friday at their Playa Vista office. Once I arrived to the in-person interview, I was met by a warm receptionist who informed the team I was at their office ready for my interview. The interview consisted of various members of the search team, all of whom were friendly and asked thoughtful questions regarding SEM. I was given a great introduction to the company and a insight to what it was like to work for Canvas. I was interviewed first by the head of the department, then two supervisors, followed by the manager who referred me to the position in the department. This was my favorite part of this particular interview experience because I felt as though I could really get to know a good amount of the team and the kind of great chemistry that was behind Canvas. As I left the interview I thought that even if I didn't get the position, the entire interview experience and meeting the great people at Canvas Worldwide and hearing about some of the numerous projects I would get to work on was more than worth the time. I highly suggest submitting an application if you are interested in a career in marketing and working alongside some of the most talented people in the business. The interview process alone will already make you feel a part of the brilliant team.
- Can you tell me about a project you least enjoyed in a past role and the reasons behind that dislike?
- What is it about SEM that captures your interest the most?

I had a good phone call with a recruiter and then they invited me for an in person interview. I met the hiring manager and some other team members. Everyone was nice and asked good questions. I felt good about it. Then, after a couple of weeks, I hadn't heard anything back even though I reached out. I saw the job listing was removed from their site, so they must have hired someone. It really bothers me when companies don't follow up with candidates, especially after an in-person interview, to let them know they didn't get the job. It's just not respectful. Canvas might be a good place to work, but they really need to do better with how they treat candidates.
