Behavioral Case Presentation

The interviews were easy and straightforward, and the recruiter was nice and helpful! I went through every round. To say the least, they were wishy-washy and inconsiderate of the time and effort someone put in. In my opinion, management tried hard to find the perfect candidate but still interviewed them all the way up to the very end, only to say "we think you can be a great fit but you actually do not have this experience we require" when they knew about it from the start, 5 interviews and a case study ago. It took them a little over 2.5 weeks from the final interview to make a final decision.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I first chatted one-on-one with the Chief Design Officer after applying online. We met up at a coffee shop, and instead of a formal Q&A, it was super chill and conversational. We talked broadly about brand strategies, the company's vision, some possible ad ideas, and the competitive landscape. I really liked this chat and how the CDO made it friendly; it let us both gauge the professional vibe and see if we were a good fit before moving to the next stage, which was a writing test. Since these tests can be draining and take a lot of time, I was glad we met first. I spent about a week on the writing test and then got invited for more interviews. I talked with people from design, product, customer support, and marketing, plus the CEO. These chats took a few hours. Everyone on the team was welcoming and open. Candid is a fast-growing startup that needs people to be adaptable, so the questions covered a wide range, from really out-there thoughts about future problems to direct questions about my experience, and just general get-to-know-you stuff. Some questions also dug into my writing test, particularly about brand strategy and ad approaches. Overall, the interview process was tough but fair and friendly. The people I met, especially from the design team, were really supportive throughout.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The hiring process was pretty fast. The head of design reached out to me about an opening, and we ended up chatting for about 45 minutes that same afternoon. It was a really nice and informative talk, and I got pretty interested in the company, even though I hadn't known much about it before. They scheduled my in-person interview for a few weeks out, and also sent over the company brand guide along with a writing task that was due the following week. The writing assignment was quite a bit more involved than others I've had, but it helped me get up to speed before the interview. The interviews themselves were pleasant but tough, with a lot of challenging, specific, and thought-provoking questions. I met with around 6-7 people from the company, in both group settings and one-on-one.

Case Behavioral Technical

The interview process included a call with the hiring manager, a take-home case, a live case, and a behavioral interview. This was a bad process and a waste of time. They make you do a take-home case very early, showing no respect for candidate's time. One hiring manager said not to spend more than a couple hours on it, but another expected "deep insights." The funny thing is, the hiring manager didn't understand sql or data analysis that well! They stole the case from somewhere else and have been using the same one for years. TLDR the company has zero respect for peoples time and doesn't care to actually get to know you. Also, the hiring manager had less than 4 months of experience!
