After your application is reviewed, an HR person might call you for a first phone or video chat. They usually ask about your background, experience, and why you want this job. Sometimes they ask basic technical or situation questions.
- Could you provide a brief summary of your past work experience?
- What are your salary requirements for this role?
- What motivates your interest in Canam?
IT Business Analyst
I had an initial screening call with HR and then a second interview with the hiring manager and HR. They decided to skip a third interview and just gave me an offer.
- Tell me about your work ethics.
- How do you feel about traveling for work?
- Can you speak French?
Design Engineer
We started with a group discussion for shortlisted candidates. Then there were a few written tests. The first one was technical, covering Strength Of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, and Engineering Drawing. The second written test was for general aptitudes, with some questions on AutoCAD. The third written test was for qualified candidates. After that, I had an HR interview, followed by a final technical interview.
- Where do you see yourself in this company in 5 years?
Private Equity Analyst

- Can you tell me what we do here?
- Walk me through your resume.
