Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canadian Tire.
Sales Associate
The interview process for this role was pretty standard for a big retail environment. I spoke with the department manager in an employee area. It was informal and friendly, and the interviewer answered all my questions. Nothing unusual happened.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
- What is your availability?
Sales Associate
Group interview where you introduce the person next to you to each other. Then they point out the right answer and ask for references. There was a 15 min wait time and the interview itself was 20 min.
- What would you do if you saw someone slip in a wrench?
Sales Associate
The interview process was a bit drawn out, but the questions they asked were pretty standard. Things like what my strengths are, my weaknesses, what I know about the company, my hobbies, and my five-year plan.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
- What do you know about our company?
