First, there was a 30-minute phone screen. Then, a 90-minute panel interview with really in-depth questions, but nothing too out there. The panel made a great impression of the company. The next interview started with a 45-minute Project Management skills test. After that, there was a 45-minute 1:1 with the hiring manager where we discussed the skills test results. I figured out the skills test didn't have a single right answer; they're actually looking for specific behavioral responses about how you tackle problems. They really liked statements like "every organization has their own processes and templates; you need to follow the standards that are already in place." London Life has a lot of processes and paperwork (call it bureaucracy if you want), so following them exactly, every single time, is crucial for success. There's really only one way to do things. The interview ended abruptly and coldly when I asked about the working culture, specifically about flexible start/end times for childcare. Apparently, there's no flexibility unless you've been there for ages AND your request is small. No remote work, no flextime, you have to be at your desk exactly on time... super rigid.

The interview process included some standard questions. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses, how I handle stress, and for an example of an excellent project I delivered, including the reasons for its success.

It was a behavioral interview for an analyst type role. The recruiter didn't even let me know I wasn't selected even after I sent a follow-up.
