Associate Product Manager
I was contacted by the company's recruiter on LinkedIn. She gave me her email, and I sent my resume to her. After she got my resume, we set up a 30-minute phone interview. They asked me some standard questions like what I knew about the company, my current salary, why I was looking to leave my current job, and about my current projects. They also asked how I would create reports to measure effectiveness. The recruiter mentioned it would take at least two weeks to hear back about their decision. She also advised me to prepare questions to ask them, to see if their company values and environment were a good fit for me. Sadly, I never heard back from them regarding their decision.
- Can you outline the process for launching a new product and specify the reports you'd use or create to gauge its effectiveness and reception?
Project Manager
My first interactions were good, but it quickly declined. I was contacted by the same HR person three times for the same job, and each time they asked me the same initial questions. This disorganization was a warning sign. I had a positive initial phone interview, but then heard nothing for a month, even after I followed up professionally a few times. After the silence, I was invited for an onsite interview, which made me feel hopeful again about the company. The interview process itself was positive, though chaotic. I was moved from room to room because the interviewers weren't ready or prepared to see me. After the interviews, there was no further communication, despite my attempts to get follow-up and feedback.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience.
Marketing Associate
I had 3 interviews. First was a phone call with the Hiring Manager. Second was another phone call with someone from the Brand/Partner Team. The last one was a face to face interview with the head of Brand Marketing. The phone calls were pretty casual, mostly to get to know me and review my resume, and they told me more about the job. The face to face was more of a structured Q&A.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview first, which went well. It lasted about 20 - 25 minutes. And then I had the in-person interview a few days later. That went well also, I'd met with my direct supervisor and the VP Operations.
- Tell me about your past job duties and why you left those roles.
- How do you handle difficult interactions with coworkers or customers?
- Describe your personality: do you tend to blend in or stand out?
