First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Campbell Ewald.
Social Media Specialist
I applied for a job a while back, and they reached out about a different role that they thought fit my background. I was cool with trying for the new gig, so I prepped for it. The interviews were intense, with questions coming at me fast. They even challenged my answers. I thought it was just gonna be a casual chat about the job, but then it took another month to hear back about not getting it. The people there seemed really robotic and not friendly, like their jobs were their whole lives. Glad I didn't end up there.

- Describe your approach to managing client interactions.
Junior Copywriter
The interview process was straightforward and the two creative directors I spoke with were eager to interview me. The hiring process took over a month, and I was not given an offer. Communication with the recruiter assigned to the role was open and prompt, which was unexpected, but in a good way. She answered all my questions and updated me on all developments in a timely manner in spite of the slow overall hiring process.
- Why are you interested in this position, and what skills do you have that would make you successful in it?
Solutions Planning Manager
It all kicked off smoothly via a national recruiting agency. My HR contact was awesome, keeping things moving and really listening to what I needed. After the initial screening interview and submitting a work sample, I had a phone chat with the hiring manager. My future boss and I really connected. We spent three weeks coordinating schedules, then the agency flew me out, put me up in a nice hotel, and I had a full day of interviews. I really liked the job, thoroughly enjoyed the client, and loved the people I'd be working with. I got the verbal offer, the written offer, and accepted it all the day after my interviews.
- Considering our current campaign, what do you believe is the next logical step for the (xxx client)?
- When you approach problem-solving, do you tend to rely more on deductive or inductive reasoning?
Print Production
Had an initial 15-minute phone chat with an HR assistant, and then they invited me for an interview that same week. When I went in, I met with two HR people and two folks who work in Print Production. They threw some hypothetical situations at me and asked how I'd handle them. They also asked about my current job and daily duties, and how those connect to the role I was applying for. I got a call with their hiring decision within a week. Everyone was super nice, and I felt pretty comfortable and welcomed.
- How do you handle criticism, and do you take it personally?
