Marketing and Communications Associate
I had a quick 15-minute phone call with the recruiter where they chatted about the company and asked me questions about myself and why I'm interested in working here. After that, I was set up for a second interview with the hiring manager, which was longer and more detailed.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your motivations for joining our company?
- Could you elaborate on your previous experiences and any projects you've worked on?
Clinician
The interview process felt pretty average in terms of difficulty. They presented some scenarios and asked about my previous experience in the field. The interviewer was really nice and made it easy to just be myself. You should get ready for a question about handling a crisis and one about ethics. They also asked about work schedule flexibility and hours.
- What would you do if a colleague acted against protocol and told you to keep quiet?
- Tell me about a time you managed a crisis situation.
- How would you deal with an ethical issue that came up?
Case Manager
This was probably the strangest and most unprofessional interview I've ever had. It was a red flag from the start when they kept pushing back meetings and I wasted three weeks waiting for them. They didn't start by asking any get-to-know-you questions, but instead, multiple people just read questions from a list. There was no intro, no job overview, no role explanation, they just went straight into the questions and rushed through them. They made no effort to get to know me or make me comfortable, and the only talking was when I got to ask questions at the end. I felt disrespected and like my time was wasted. Interviews should be conversations, not interrogations. It's weird that they don't seem to care about the personality of their potential team members, suggesting they just want anyone qualified instead of someone who fits the company culture. I wouldn't want to work there. The interviewers either don't know how to conduct an interview or are more focused on finding the 'perfect' candidate than getting to know people. It's concerning for a social work company to prioritize skills over character. I've read reviews saying they don't care about employee well-being, and this interview experience confirms that. If they can't be bothered to get to know you in an interview, they probably won't care about you as an employee either. This attitude is unacceptable in a field with high burnout. A company that cares for its employees is essential. They also made some odd comments about billable hours that made it clear they're money-focused. You should save your time and look elsewhere for a company with a good culture.
- Can you describe a situation where you handled stress?
Job Developer
I applied online on Indeed and got a call the very next morning to set up an interview. I went in person for about 45 minutes to talk with the program directors. Afterward, I sent a thank you email. It was quiet for a few weeks with no news. Before they made an offer, I had to turn in my transcripts, diplomas, references, and also do a background check, drug test, and physical.
