First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cambridge Systematics.
Senior Associate
It was a pretty straightforward behavioral interview, not much in the way of technical engineering stuff. The whole thing felt more about building a connection with the interviewer. If you can connect well, you'll likely do fine.
- What's your approach to handling a difficult client?
- What are your predictions for the industry's direction in the next 2-5 years?
Transportation Analyst
It was a really pleasant and laid-back experience. I liked chatting with the various people I met who were in different positions. They came across as reasonable and well-informed. The whole thing was straightforward, and the HR representative was really fast and supportive.
- Can you tell me about the experiences listed on your resume?
Creative Document Specialist
The interview process began with a recruiter call, followed by a personality test, a Word formatting test, a CDS assessment, and finally an interview with the hiring manager. I was really excited about this opportunity because of how well I was treated. The recruiter kept me updated every few days, even when there wasn't new information. I didn't have to chase for updates until after the third interview/assessment. After that meeting, I heard nothing, so I sent a polite follow-up email to both the recruiter and hiring manager, but still received no response. It's been two months, the job is still posted, and I haven't heard back. While I might have dodged a bullet, I'm still disappointed because the two people I met seemed great.
- Can you share an experience where…?
Transportation Planner
I sent in my application and heard back about three weeks later. The first screening call went well, it was a simple one-on-one. Then about a week later, I had a second phone interview. I just didn't feel like we clicked during that call, it was also just one person interviewing me. I knew right after that call that it wasn't the right fit for me.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with teams?
