First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cambridge Public Schools.
Food Service Clerk
The interview was pleasant and brief. They asked simple questions and the interviewer was attentive. I got to ask my questions too and learned about the school system.
- Do you have experience working in food services?
Technician
It was a quick interview. It was a round table style interview. Be prepared for scenario questions. Usually 6 people will be at the interview and they are comprised of employees that work for cambridge public schools.
- What is your motivation for this job?
- What makes you the most suitable candidate?
Paraprofessional
The interview process was thorough, clear, and organized. The system is great, usually involving the principal and a teacher. You might not get the exact grade you want, but flexibility is important. Once hired, HR can be a bit disorganized, but persistence helps.
- Describe a situation where you had to resolve a conflict with a coworker.
Family and Community Partnerships Coordinator
It was a one-day thing, pretty easy. I had a panel interview with the principal, teachers, and parents. They really wanted to check if I was culturally competent and knew my stuff. The whole interview process was just that afternoon, a short one.
- A writing assignment was given after my panel interview.
