I applied through Indeed. The director contacted me to set up an interview. She wasn't very personable and was brief. I could barely get any questions in during the interview. When we talked about salary, she mentioned around 50k (or possibly less), which is too low. It seemed like a waste of time, so I decided to pull out.

The initial interview process was apologetic and accommodating. I was expecting to meet with the director, but due to miscommunication, I met with the program manager instead for about an hour. We had a conversational interview where she asked many questions, but she was pleasant and answered all my questions. The director was still unavailable, so I then spoke with a case manager for another hour. She was also pleasant and informative. I was told I would have a second interview. For the second interview, the director was 10 minutes late and asked some brief clarifying questions about my experience, abilities, and start date. She mentioned checking references and ended the interview, which lasted about 5 minutes, without allowing me to ask questions or get a timeline. Two weeks later, I called and was told the director was out and I was still being considered. A week after that, I emailed the director but never received a final decision. The experience was good overall, but it was unprofessional to keep me in the dark about the outcome.

I submitted an application online and got a call a few days later to set up an interview. A couple days after that, I had a one-on-one interview and then had to complete a paper form. About a week later, they let me know the job was taken, so no offer came my way.

I had two interviews for the Residential Counselor role. I thought they went pretty well, but I didn't get the job. They told me it was because I lived too far away, which I don't really think is a good reason for that position, and honestly, I don't live that far away. It felt like an excuse.
