First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CAMBA.
Data Analyst
I had a phone interview that seemed to go well. I chatted with the person who would be my direct supervisor and the program director. They seemed interested in getting to know me. After that, they sent me an assignment to complete. I got it done and sent it back before the deadline, but then I never heard anything else from them.
- What motivated you to apply given our mission?
Program Evaluation Associate
I got an interview request really fast, within a day of applying. After a first screening interview, I had to do some analytical tasks and then walk my interviewers through the work I did. The last step was an in-person interview, and then I got the offer. It all wrapped up in about three weeks.
- Tell me about your experience using program data.
- What's your background with data management?
- Can you describe instances where you've instructed others on data entry?
Care Coordinator
If you enjoy being out in the field all day, no matter the weather, are young and energetic, have no issues with your knees, back, or feet, and don't mind going into projects to try to convince mentally ill people to join a program because you need to meet your quota monthly, then this is the job for you. Any organization that sends you into 'not so safe' neighborhoods clearly doesn't care about your well-being, only their monthly numbers. So, when considering this type of work, think about what could happen to you in an elevator in these projects or when you enter one of those apartments. Yes, we all need a job, but not at the cost of our lives, while the company moves on to interview other jobless candidates.
- No questions are difficult for me due to my extensive experience.
Employment
It was a really long and unprofessional hiring process. They didn't care about the time and resources you need to spend. You'll likely have 2-3 interviews, and they'll ask for references, but that doesn't mean you'll get the job. Maybe HR managers should have their recruiters do interviews with another recruiter (like a panel) so they're more accountable.
- Can you tell me about your skills?
