First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Camaco.
Human Resources Generalist
I did 3 interviews total. Spoke with the recruiter, then the HR manager, and finally the plant manager. One of the chats was over the phone and the other 2 were in person at the plant.
- Why do you think you would fit well with our company?
- Do you consider yourself a team player?
Administrative Assistant and HR Generalist
I had a phone interview with Just In Time Staffing, which went fine. Then I had an in-person interview with Chuck, and that also seemed fine. They let me know I had the job within two days. I asked about the timeline for my decision because they were offering less than we initially discussed. They said Friday. So on Friday, I told the recruiter I'd accept. I didn't hear back, so I followed up on Tuesday, still nothing. Finally, on Thursday, she messaged saying she was on vacation and would talk to Chuck and get back to me about a start date. The next week I texted her asking what was going on since I hadn't heard anything. She replied, 'Hey_____, unfortunately Chuck had another agency working on this position as well and they extended an offer to another candidate and they accepted. I apologize for my lack of communication. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.' It was completely unprofessional, especially since I had turned down two other jobs after accepting this one.
- Basic interview questions were asked.
- The staffing company and hiring manager were the ones I eventually had issues with.
- I was excited to start something new, but they showed no respect for me.
Buyer
I had a phone screen, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had an in-person interview with several management and cross-functional teams. It was great talking with upper management, but chatting with my potential future peers wasn't as positive. It might not have been a good fit, but it helped me understand why the role was open.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
Maintenance Technician
The hiring process was typical: application review, a phone screen with HR, an on-site interview with the hiring manager, and a facility tour. The people I interacted with were very honest and upfront about company life and recent growth. It felt like an ethical process.
- Could you tell me about your past experience?
