First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Calvary.
Registered Nurse
We had a group interview where everyone introduced themselves and shared a bit about their background. Then, we answered scenario-based questions as a group. It felt pretty casual and the interviewers were friendly.
- Tell us how you'd manage a situation where a patient follows you on social media.
AINS
I applied online and was called for an interview and got the job. The interview was about 30 minutes long and included questions about situations and some government norms for aged care and Calvary values. After about a month, I got a call offering me the job.
- In a situation where you find a client on the floor, what would be your course of action?
AIN
It was a two-on-one interview, held in a private room. We started with introductions, then talked about my value and how I handle conflicts. We also discussed part-time, casual, and full-time roles. Then there was a reference check, and finally an offer, which I accepted. It was a pretty chill interview.
- Can you tell me about the value of Calvary?
- What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
IT Professional
The hiring process was really slow at first, like I didn't even get an acknowledgement of my application. It took over a month from when I applied to get the first interview. This might have just been because they were waiting for the application close date, but not hearing anything made me look for other jobs. Once I got to the interview stage, things moved faster. The HR part seemed to work well once it got going. I think they should let people know when they're rejected right away instead of waiting until the application deadline.
- Based on your past experience, how have you handled situations like X?
