A Callsource VP, pretending to be an independent recruiter, contacted me. He asked me to share my "very best work" and acted like I was doing great in the process. There were 3 stages of general conversation before the final stage, where they got my knowledge for free through a "homework assignment." I figured out who he really was and that it was a scam when he ghosted me right after I submitted the assignment, without telling me if I got the job. This happened right after I gave them all my knowledge on those topics for free.

So I had two phone calls. The first one was with a recruiter asking about my background, and then the recruiter let me know that the hiring manager would be calling me within a few days. The hiring manager did indeed call me back three days later, and we talked more about my experience, my background, any certifications I had, and any awards I'd received from previous jobs.

I got referred by someone who works there and sent my resume to an email. About two weeks later, I got a call to set up a phone interview. It was a pretty chill interview, no hard questions. They mostly wanted to see how I approach work and if I'm responsible.
