The interviewer was hard to connect with and didn't offer a chance for questions at the end. They seemed stand-offish and didn't seem to have much experience interviewing people. They were also overly competitive and expected too much.

The recruiters mainly need you to complete the necessary paperwork and be truthful. Make sure you arrive on time and are a responsible individual. Avoid recreational drugs and excessive drinking, and steer clear of DUIs! It's important to be patient, stay physically fit, and maintain your conditioning. Also, show respect to the recruiter and everyone in the office.

You'll have an initial chat with a recruiter. Then, you'll take the ASVAB. After that, you'll go through MEPS. Once that's done, you'll sign your contract. Then you'll go to training and get your MOS. If you're thinking about a career in the CA ARNG, remember this: you might not get the exact job you want. You might have to switch to a different MOS if your role becomes obsolete or if the Army's needs change. So, be like Siemper Gumby – always adaptable. Sometimes you just need a good sense of humor and to chat with your NCOs. They're some of the best folks I've ever met.

Your application will be reviewed by a board to select the best candidate. The application is quite extensive but worth the effort to ensure the best outcome. Having an internal contact can be beneficial.
