It was a pretty boring interview experience. First, there was a written part, and then I met with the hiring managers. They basically just read questions straight from a binder and took notes the entire time, not asking anything else.

It took 3 months from the application closing to hear back about an interview. The interview invite came 7 days before the interview date. They usually call on Thursdays or Fridays to set up interviews for the next week. Three weeks after the first interview, I got invited to a second interview. It took 2 weeks after the second interview to get a soft confirmation, and then another week to get the official appointment letter. The interview process included a 45-minute written test where I had to answer a letter to show professional writing skills. After that, there was a panel interview. They gave me the questions 10 minutes before so I could prepare my thoughts. I was asked not to share the specific questions, but there were about 7 of them. They covered standard interview topics like getting along with people, handling difficult people, analyzing information and reports, and understanding the unit's mission.

Confirmed questions3 questions

Applied online and a few months later I got a phone call. There were 2 interviews in total. The first one was with the hiring manager and some employees, and the second interview was with the deputy director and another senior person. Both were very formal, as expected for government jobs. About 10 minutes before each interview, they gave us a list of 4 or 5 questions. It was helpful because we could jot down some notes beforehand. Everyone was nice and professional.
