I applied through Indeed and the recruiter got in touch quickly. We started with a phone screen, then went straight to a face-to-face interview. The questions were mainly about my past experience, my client base, and my successes, which is pretty standard for a Capture Manager role. After the interviews, they said they'd let me know soon. It's been two weeks with no word, so I reached out. They told me they're going with other candidates. That's fine, but they should at least call people back to let them know. Some of us take time off to interview, so a professional courtesy call would be appreciated. It seems like a good company, and I wish the interview process had been as good.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This position was contingent on a contract award. I had a phone interview and was asked to submit my resume. Then, I was requested to provide a detailed CV in a specific format required by the contract. Candidates received weekly updates for 4 weeks regarding the contract award process, then bi-weekly updates for a month, and finally monthly updates, with the last one being 3 months ago. All updates indicated they were the incumbent and expected to win. I eventually emailed to inquire about an update and received a response stating they would get back to me. I met with a Calibre representative at an exclusive job fair who acknowledged they owed me an answer and promised to contact the relevant individuals. Despite sending follow-up emails, I have not received a reply. Professionalism dictates a response.

I spoke with two people and answered some questions. Then, I was given an offline writing assignment to complete and submit. They were really interested in my previous experience and my ability to pick up new things. Bringing along examples of my previous documentation work was beneficial, and so were the diagrams I brought to showcase my grasp of technical concepts by illustrating complicated procedures.

Behavioral Group

I interviewed with a panel of 4 people. The hiring manager initially said to relax and that it would be a friendly conversation. However, the panel then fired questions at me and treated me like a hostile witness, which took me by surprise. I stayed professional and gave thoughtful answers. I asked about training and what happens when projects end. They seemed unsure and admitted to past layoffs, and were vague about training. It left a bad impression, and I had mentally written them off, though they contacted me a few weeks later.
