First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cali Bamboo.
Sales Associate
So the interview started with HR, then we had a mock sales call which was kinda weird, but it was fine if you just stayed in character and acted like you were talking to a real lead. The last interview was a panel with all the sales managers. A lot of the questions were standard interview stuff, but a few were unexpected and caught me off guard.
- Can you introduce yourself? And, do you prefer winning or dislike losing more?
- Tell me about yourself. Do you love winning or hate losing more?
Communications and Public Relations Specialist
The interview process was a bit haphazard and the communication wasn't super clear. While the environment was positive and the staff were friendly, the interviewer was really late. The receptionist did apologize for the delay and kept me comfortable. I didn't learn about the salary range until an offer was extended. After the first interview, there was a significant wait before the second one. Then, after the second interview, I was asked to go home, only to be called back later that same day, which was unexpected since I thought an offer was imminent.
- Can you describe a challenging situation from a past job and explain how you handled it?
Inside Sales Representative
I got contacted by a recruiter about a week after I applied. First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. Then, I did a mock sales call with the manager. The last round was a panel interview with three sales managers. The mock sales call wasn't too tough, they just wanted to see if I was confident and engaging. I needed to know the product basics and show I could move towards a sale without being too pushy. All the interviews felt pretty relaxed and straightforward. They wanted me to come prepared with specific examples from my previous jobs and also talk about what I do outside of work. Honestly, everyone I met - the recruiter and the sales managers - was super friendly, professional, and helpful. It was definitely the most pleasant interview experience I've had, which really told me what I needed to know about the company culture.
- Can you tell me something about yourself that isn't related to work?
- What can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you provide specific examples from your previous work experience?
Marketing Specialist
I got contacted about a week after I applied. The first interview was a phone call, and then I had two more interviews at their office. They got back to me pretty fast and were really professional. I didn't end up getting the job, but they seemed like a great place to work and I'd totally recommend them.
