The interview process was pretty thorough. It had individual interviews, a panel interview, and a project. Recruiting kept me in the loop the whole time and always gave me timely updates. It was challenging but worth it.
- What would be your initial focus upon finishing onboarding?
Marketing
I interviewed with the recruiter, hiring manager, did a technical test, met with the team, and had a cultural interview. The whole process was pretty fast. The HR partner was really involved and good at communicating. The third round felt long, lasting 3 hours, but I didn't end up getting the job.
- What things would make you not want to work for a company?
Marketing
The entire hiring journey from start to finish was super thoughtful. I was first contacted by a Calendly recruiter on LinkedIn. The message they sent was customized to my background, the specific job, and info about the team. My initial phone call with this recruiter was really informative; she expertly answered all my questions about the company's history, growth, and current status. She also knew a lot about the role and my questions about benefits and the company were all answered. I then had a couple of video chats with my hiring manager to get a full picture of the job and the team's future plans. After finishing a fun and challenging 2-hour hands-on project, I came in for an onsite meeting with the team. (Naturally, they use Calendly, so scheduling, getting details, and receiving follow-ups was a breeze.) My onsite interview included an office tour, a choice of Calendly swag, and meetings with four people: a teammate, someone from another team for a culture perspective, my department head, and my hiring manager. The team was really accommodating with snacks and drinks, and everyone I passed while waiting asked if I'd been helped. Later, I had more video chats with my hiring manager, followed by a video meeting with the CEO and Founder, Tope. Once an offer was made, my recruiter thoroughly answered all my questions, clarified things, and worked with me on adjustments. They really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome (something really special happened, but no spoilers!!). Signing and submitting the offer was super clear and easy, leading straight into the employee portal to get everything set up before my start date. It was absolutely the best hiring experience ever and something I'll always remember! It was a pretty long process though from the first call to accepting the offer, which might have been too slow if I wasn't already employed.
- Can you provide examples of your past work?
- Would you be able to complete a project for us?
- Are you able to do a presentation as part of the interview process?
