Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Calendly.
Web Manager
Recruiter screening, then an interview with the direct manager. After that, there were 3 interviews with colleagues or peers, followed by an interview with a C-level executive. The process concluded with final back-and-forth communication with the recruiter. The conversations were good, and the team was flexible with scheduling. The recruiting team was keen to hire candidates.
- Tell me about your experience as a Web Manager.
- Describe your approach to managing web projects.
- How do you collaborate with different teams?
Senior Manager
The interview process kicked off with an HR screen, followed by a Hiring Manager interview. Then, there was a take-home assignment that they suggested would take 2-4 hours. The final stage was a 'panel' which consisted of 4 separate interviews, totaling 4 hours. I found the take-home and panel stages to be an unreasonable amount of time, even though HR mentioned each interview would be brief. The invites were for an hour each, and the interviewers did take the full hour.
- Tell me about yourself and your cultural fit.
- What are your thoughts on joining this team?
- Can you walk me through a case study?
Knowledge Manager
Had a chat where they explained company culture and the role. We talked about current systems, goals, and future objectives. Didn't have enough time to really dig into my background or discuss potential skills, changes, or enhancements I could bring.
- Tell me about your previous experience.
- What would be your initial approach or tactics?
