I went through a standard 3-round interview process. It started with a screening call with the recruiter, then I talked to the hiring manager, and finally met with the director of the business area.

The recruiter reached out via email and there were 3 rounds of interviews after that with hiring manager, director of product and another PMM. The process was quick and smooth. I did not have to wait for longer to hear from recruiter after each round of interview.

I applied online and heard back from the recruiter about three weeks later. We talked about my experience and what I expected to make. Then I waited for the next steps and followed up a bunch over two weeks. The recruiter eventually got back to me, but said the job was already taken.

I had a phone screen with HR and then two interviews over the phone with hiring managers. The HR screen made me reconsider, but I went ahead. It was very corporate, asking about years in tech instead of depth. No questions seemed to screen for cultural fit or interest, which is a big deal for me. This could have been an online application addition. The Hiring Manager screens were better, feeling more about fit and experience. Still, it was odd they were both 15-minute calls, not in-person. One HM screen was for a role I clearly wasn't qualified for, which the recruiter suggested. The HM had clear expectations not in the job description, and my experience didn't match, making me feel embarrassed the recruiter even recommended it.
