Program Manager
This was by far the best recruiter experience I have ever had in my professional career. Stephanie Crites was extremely communicative, informative, professional, quick to respond, and supportive of my candidacy throughout the process. She really felt like my advocate, something that is often missing from recruiter interactions nowadays. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and getting to know the social impact team. I let the team know that I had another offer on the table, and they were quick to get my interviews scheduled. I had a great experience meeting the folks on the team, the role was a fantastic fit for my skill set and the interviews felt more conversational rather than a question & answer drill, which helps a candidate feel more relaxed. Due to a location issue (they are unable to hire remote or outside of San Jose for the Austin office), we were unable to come to terms on an offer. If it wasn't for that component, I would have gladly accepted the offer.
- Recruiter screen checked for how well you fit the job description qualifications
- Hiring manager and team went more in-depth on experience
Principal Program Manager
I had a phone screen with HR, and then I talked to six people. These were team leads from R&D, Operations, and HR. They all asked good questions about my resume and background. They also answered my questions. HR was quick to help with the onboarding paperwork after I got the offer, so I could start in 2 weeks.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing a team of this size? What would you do if you didn't get timely responses to your emails?
- How would you handle situations where you don't receive the expected responses to your emails, given your experience managing a team of this size?
Senior Program Manager
The interview process was very straightforward. The recruiter called to check my status and availability for a phone screen with the hiring manager. I had a one hour phone screen with the manager. At the end, he mentioned an onsite interview to meet others. I had three onsite interviews because of interviewer availability, and the recruiter was upfront about this, seeking my approval. Since I was fine with coming onsite multiple times, we moved forward. After the onsite interviews, I got an offer and accepted it a few days later. So, it's very routine.
- Given the customer-focused nature of the role, describe how you would interact with customers.
- Describe your approach to interacting with the team.
