First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cabot.
Customer Care Representative
I had an online interview. The interviewer asked me if I had questions right away, which I did. It was confusing because when I asked a question, she said I should wait until the end. Other than that, she explained what they do, but since I had many questions, we didn't have much time left, and I'm not sure if it was my fault. But I got the 2nd interview, wish me luck.
- Were you asked if you had questions at the beginning?
Procurement Manager
So, I went through 7 interviews. First, there was an HR chat, then one with the hiring manager, followed by five interviews with different stakeholders. The interviews were pretty straightforward. One was with a psychologist who focused on personality, another was with a VP, and the remaining three were with potential coworkers. Ultimately, they decided to go with an internal candidate.
- Tell me about a project where you had to handle conflicting requirements.
Analyst
So the interview process started with a largely behavioral first round. If you pass that, then there's a case study that usually takes about 2 to 4 hours. And then the final round is in person, where you meet with 6 or more people. It's mostly behavioral, but they do ask some technical finance questions.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What makes you want to work at Cabot?
- Can you explain the three financial statements to me?
Sales Manager
It was a really long, disorganized, and unprofessional interview process that lasted 6 weeks. There were 4 rounds of interviews with managers and HR, and I had to do a presentation in front of a panel. They also did a reference check. Everything seemed to be going well, but then the day before they were supposed to send the offer, they decided to withdraw the position. The entire experience was chaotic and lacked any structure. Ultimately, I was very disappointed with the process and the company.
- What standard questions were asked?
- Were there any non-sensical questions?
