Graphic Design Lead
I went through multiple stages of the interview process for the Graphic Design Lead position, including a screening, an interview with the executive creative director, and a graphic design assessment. The assessment involved two tasks that seemed like actual work for the company. While they were responsive when I had questions during the assessment, after I submitted it, there was absolutely no response or follow-up, even after I emailed them several times over a few weeks. It's unprofessional, especially considering the time I invested in what felt like unpaid freelance work. The role also had a low salary for a lead position, with no bonus, equity, or travel. Despite submitting the assessment, I received no response, even from recruiters after I followed up. This shows a lack of consistency and balance within the design team and how they treat candidates. They might be taking work without hiring.
- What tool do you use for designing emails?
Senior Software Engineer
It was 3 rounds. First round had java basics, spring boot, one low level design question and one DS question. Second round focused on DS questions (first missing character), some puzzles (from top puzzles on google) and java and spring related questions. The interviewer was nice in both rounds. Third round was a Project Round where the interviewer wanted to discuss tech stacks. Since I wasn't aware of docker/aws, I was asked to skip those. I was rejected without any reason. It would have been better if the interviewer had more experience.
- What is the first missing character?
- Solve the Burnt rope 45 min measure puzzle.
- Which data structure to use to print continuous logs coming at console?
Operations Manager
The HR round was good and informative, they explained the role and responsibilities. However, the assignment evaluation with the person at AD OPS in India was not great. It felt like they didn't really review my assignment before the interview, and it was rushed and messy. The time for the assignment review was also too short, and I felt rushed to explain my thinking. The evaluator's questions and expectations were also not clear, making it hard to answer well. I think interviewers should be more respectful and approachable, especially at senior levels. Giving candidates enough time to explain their work and specific feedback would make it better. I hope this feedback helps make the interview process better for others. A good interview experience shows the company's values and helps attract good people.
- Can you start by walking me through the assignment?
Software Engineer
The interview was pretty smooth and everything was well organized. The person interviewing me was professional and asked me a bunch of technical questions. They mostly focused on data structures like arrays and stacks. These questions were designed to check if I understood the concepts and if I could solve problems with them. If you're preparing, I'd suggest practicing a lot of problems, especially with arrays and stacks, on sites like LeetCode. The questions weren't too hard, but knowing the basics and having seen common interview problems before will definitely make you feel more confident and help you succeed. All in all, if you prepare enough, you should be able to get through it.
- How would you count the number of islands in an m x n binary grid, where islands are formed by connecting adjacent '1's horizontally or vertically, and are surrounded by '0's?
