First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CA Fortune.
Account Manager
I went through 4 interviews in total. First was a recruiter call, then I interviewed with Directors, followed by a panel of Account Managers, and finally with an SVP. The interviews with the Director and the Account Managers involved similar questions about my experience and background.
- Can you describe your typical daily workflow and how you approach your responsibilities?
People Operations
I had a phone screen with the recruiter, and then I interviewed with the VP. They told me at the end of the interview that I was moving on, and it seemed like it went really well from both sides. They said more info would follow, but I didn't hear back. I had to follow up two weeks later and was told they weren't moving forward with my application.
- Can you tell me about your general experience and how it relates to this position?
E-Commerce Partnership Manager
My interview process was brief, only involving a phone screen. The company intro covered their debt-free status and people-first approach. I was informed about a strict budget for pay, with the rationale that people are the most expensive asset but the company remains debt-free. This felt tacky, implying candidates would shoulder the debt-free status personally. I was also told they received thousands of applicants and had been conducting phone screenings all day for weeks, making me feel like just a number. The process includes several panel interviews and an unpaid Excel exercise done with other candidates, which is a huge red flag for asking candidates to work for free, especially after holding upper-management roles where such processes weren't standard.
- Can you describe your experience with Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Vendor Central, detailing the tasks you performed in each?
Client Strategy Manager
It was a really good and thorough interview process. I got to talk with a bunch of people on the team. The talks covered typical interview questions and I also had to do a project where I analyzed some data to come up with solutions and recommendations based on a report.
- What are the key things you seek in your next position?
- Please analyze the provided syndicated data and present your findings and recommendations.
