First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at C4ADS.
Analyst Intern
The application process ran from June to July 17th. About two weeks after closing, I got a secondary evaluation, and then an interview invite a week after that. They mentioned a language evaluation might be coming soon, with formal notification the following week. I got the offer in less than two days. The interviewers followed a set script to keep things fair. It was a great interview and reflects positively on the company. Excited to join, even for just the internship.
- Could you describe your preferred working style?
- What are your technical skills and qualifications?
- What motivates your interest in C4ADS?
Intern
I had a Skype interview since I couldn't make it in person. Two analysts started by chatting about the company's work in a really relaxed and detailed way, making me feel like I'd already got the job. After I asked some questions, they started the interview. They asked about my research background, both qualitative and quantitative, and then checked my language skills. For languages like Spanish, which are more common, they were more thorough. They gave me a Spanish article to translate out loud. After that, I had to speak with someone in the office who was fluent in Spanish. Then, they moved on to testing my less common language skills.
- What steps would you take if you lacked adequate data or quantitative research for a project?
Intern
The first interview was with two full-time staff members. The interview was about 30 minutes and included plenty of time to ask questions. An analytical writing assignment was involved, and standard interview questions were asked.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- Could you share some background information?
