Quantitative Research Intern
The interview process involved 3 rounds. First, there was a quick, relaxed screener with an HR rep. Then, a 2-person interview panel, followed by a 3-person interview panel after an online activity. The second interview focused more on personality, and the third was technical.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a time you faced a challenge and how you overcame it.

The whole thing took 3 months. They kept saying it was the final interview and then weeks later asked for another one. I did a 3 hour work exercise that they didn't pay me for, and then they asked for edits on it, so it ended up being 4 hours total. I felt like they weren't sure what they wanted and were just leading me on. Everyone was really nice though, and I got a tour of the amazing office. Sadly, it just took way too long and I didn't get an offer in the end.
- What keeps you motivated?
IT Specialist
My first interview was with HR. It was a pretty easy conversation to see if I was a good fit. The very next day, I had a panel interview with the team and hiring managers. This second interview happened about a week after the first. During the chat with the team and hiring manager, I got to talk about my past work and resume experience. They didn't ask too many questions and seemed to really like my explanation, saying it was detailed and they didn't have any other general questions. They also mentioned that they basically thought the job was mine, saying they loved what they heard but had to do one more interview for process's sake, and they didn't see any red flags. However, they also made a weird comment about not having much confidence in the other candidate but having to interview them, which was a bit unprofessional. I got an email five days later saying I wouldn't be moving forward. I'd suggest they not talk negatively about other candidates or lead people on in interviews, as they seem to say things without thinking.
- Given that we're a small company with limited upward mobility, but we do offer increased responsibilities and corresponding pay increases over time, would this setup be an issue for you, or does it sound appealing?
Qualitative Research Associate
It began with a phone screen with HR, covering basics like 'tell me about yourself,' your experience, and any questions. Next, I had a 1-hour in-person meeting with a senior director, which was pretty conversational, with standard questions like 'what would you do if...' and 'tell me a time when...'. Then came a work exercise, lasting about 2-3 hours. I had to look at some qualitative data, then write a short discussion guide on a topic, and a mini 2-page report on the data. After that, I interviewed with two more senior directors, again with more typical interview questions. About a week later, HR contacted me with an offer. I negotiated and accepted.
