First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BYU Broadcasting.
Audio Engineer
So my first interview was on Skype with a bunch of people from BYU Broadcasting. There was an Electrical Engineer, a Mechanical Engineer, and a producer. I actually applied for a film editing job, but I ended up liking this audio position more, so it's all good. After that, I got a call from the audio supervisor, who's now my boss, when I got to school, and then I had a one-on-one interview with them.
- What makes you want this job?
Student Assistant
I first had a quick phone chat with the Post Production Supervisor, and he asked me what I was interested in at BYU Broadcasting. He mentioned that there weren't any openings for film editors right now since those are for pros, but he'd look into other possibilities for me. A couple weeks later, I came in for an in-person interview with him, and he asked if I knew how to color-correct. I said no, but I'm keen to learn. Then, a few weeks after that, he called again and offered me the job.

Fullstack Developer
It started with a warm ice breaker, then we discussed my resume, and finished with a coding test. The whole process felt really smooth and they made sure to check in on me. The interviewers were friendly and offered help when I got stuck during the coding test.
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of AWS and any experience you have with its services?
Marketing Manager
I had a bunch of interviews spread out over several months. It was longer than I expected, but it was cool that I got to meet everyone on the team before I started. It made me feel good about my choice and the people I'd be working with.
